Maskr IO, LLC ("Maskr.io", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered image processing services, including our website at maskr.io, API, and design plugins (collectively, the "Service"). Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide and improve our Service. This includes information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use our Service.
Account Information
When you create an account using Google or Apple sign-in, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from the authentication provider. We also generate and store API keys that you create for programmatic access. We do not receive or store your passwords—authentication is handled entirely by Google or Apple.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use the Service, including: API calls and processing requests, credit consumption and transaction history, features and services used, timestamps of activity, and technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device information. This data helps us operate the Service, process billing, and improve our offerings.
Image Data
When you use our image processing services, your images are uploaded to our servers for processing. Input images are deleted immediately after processing is complete. Output images are stored temporarily for up to 5 minutes to allow you to download the results, then permanently deleted. We do not retain copies of your images beyond this processing window. We do not use your images to train AI models or for any purpose other than providing the requested processing service.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide, operate, and maintain the Service; process your image processing requests; manage your account and provide customer support; process payments and manage your credit balance; send transactional communications (receipts, service updates, security alerts); analyze usage patterns to improve the Service; detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
Our servers are located in the United Arab Emirates. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in this location. We implement industry-standard security measures including: encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL); encryption of sensitive data at rest; access controls limiting employee access to personal data; regular security assessments; and secure deletion of images after processing. While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Maskr.io: Google Sign-In for authentication (subject to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy); Apple Sign-In for authentication (subject to Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy); Stripe for payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy)—we do not store your full payment card details; and Umami Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookie-free website analytics (subject to Umami's Privacy Policy at umami.is/privacy). These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights regardless of where you live.
GDPR Rights (EU/EEA Users)
If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate personal data; erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict processing of your personal data; data portability (receive your data in a structured format); object to processing of your personal data; and not be subject to automated decision-making. CCPA Rights (California Users)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used; request deletion of your personal information; opt-out of the sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information); and non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. Data Retention
Input images are deleted immediately after processing; output images are deleted within 5 minutes of creation. When you delete your account, we immediately delete all your data from our systems, except for a hashed identifier retained for up to one year to prevent abuse of our free tier. Payment and transaction records are handled by Stripe and retained according to their privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, please do not use the Service or provide any personal information. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete that information immediately. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also send you an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
